The Sphinx

The first humanish thing I ever sculpted. A little evil looking. But hey. It's me.

The clay used was Fimo Puppen. His skin was toned, blushed, and shaded with Genesis heat set oils, and then touched up with acrylics. His savage curls are mohair. For his lion fur, I used rabbit fur flock. Made the flock myself, by chopping it up so fine, my sinuses still aren't speaking to me. To shade the fur, I used pastels. Fur was then sealed with Testor's Dullcote. In his paw, he holds a leather-bound book, which says, "Riddles for Befuddling Mortals."

Total hours put into him? I'm ashamed to say.
